SML Genetree (CEO Dongsoo Lee) announced on the 9th that it has signed MOU with Mirai Genomics, a Japanese molecular diagnostics and point-of-care testing (POCT) company, to accelerate their entry into the Japanese and global markets.
Through this agreement, SML Genetree has secured a partner network in Japan, while Mirai Genomics has gained a foundation to leverage SML Genetree’s global network in overseas markets, including Korea.
Under the MOU, the two companies plan to engage in extensive discussions on:
1. Jointly identifying business opportunities for molecular diagnostics and POCT products in global markets
2. Conducting joint global marketing using both companies’ technologies and products
3. Exploring possibilities for developing new items and expanding business in the future.
SML Genetree noted that demand for global molecular diagnostics, women’s health, and infectious disease testing continues to grow within the industry, and expects the agreement to positively impact its global market expansion and revenue growth.
Combining SML Genetree’s molecular diagnostic capabilities and global network with Mirai Genomics’ POCT product strengths is expected to generate strong synergy in enhancing awareness and expanding supply of both companies’ products to hospitals, clinics, and testing centers.
