SML Genetree has completed remodeling of its manufacturing facility, now capable of producing up to 2.5 million tests annually.
This upgrade is a strategic move aimed at sustaining growth and expanding into global markets. As a short-term measure to overcome the limitations of its previous production capacity, the facility remodeling resulted in a 25% increase in output compared to the previous setup.
With the expanded capacity, SML Genetree now has a stronger foundation to respond swiftly to rising demand for various diagnostic kits. The company also plans to further enhance its already certified quality management systems, including compliance with GMP (Korea Good Manufacturing Practice) and ISO 13485 (International Medical Device Quality Certification). These efforts aim to improve operational efficiency while ensuring manufacturing stability, ultimately enabling more reliable and efficient product supply to customers both domestically and globally.
Dongsoo Lee, CEO of SML Genetree, stated, “This facility remodeling marks a turning point for SML Genetree as we take a major step forward. By delivering high-quality products on time through a design that emphasizes efficiency, we aim to boost customer satisfaction and strengthen our position as a leading player in the global diagnostics market.”
